Elkins FFA had eight teams competing in the State Career Development Events in
September in Morgantown. Equine and Forestry were 5th place teams.
Billy A. was 8th individual in Forestry
We had 2-7th place teams and 3-10th place teams.
Out chapter was ranked 12th out of 46.

SAE Explained
Supervised Agricultural Experience Program
The actual planned application of concepts and principles learned in agricultural education. Students are supervised by agriculture teachers in cooperation with parents/guardians, employers, and other adults who assist them in the development and achievement of there educational goals. The purpose is to help students develop skills and abilities lading toward a career.
Supervised Agriculture Experience Programs consist of planned, Practical activities conducted OUTSIDE of class time in which students develop and apply agriculture knowledge and skills.
